Mid-term evaluation for the social inclusion project “Together to Build Our Future – Policies, Training, and Work for Inclusive Business!” (AID 012590/09/4) in Guiné-Bissau
The project «Together to Build Our Future – Policies, Training, and Work for Inclusive Business!» (AID 012590/09/4) is being implemented in Guinea-Bissau, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
The project aims to foster an inclusive society where everyone has access to vocational training and decent job opportunities. This will encourage participatory and sustainable economic growth. The initiative covers five regions in Guinea-Bissau (Autonomous Sector of Bissau, Cacheu, Oio, Bafatá, and Gabú) and specifically targets young people, women, and persons with disabilities.
The mid-term evaluation applied a mixed-methods design, combining quantitative and qualitative techniques with an evaluation capacity building approach to strengthen the organization´s capacity in monitoring the project results. The evaluation included document review, semi-structured interviews, surveys for quantitative data collection, structured observations using checklists, and participatory workshops with staff from key organisations responsible for project implementation. These workshops aimed to reconstruct the Theory of Change, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and reflect on the project’s strategy.
