Research “Perceptions and adaptation strategies towards climate change: a gender perspective”
This study analyzes potential gender gaps regarding risk perception, level of information, knowledge, concern, and adaptation and mitigation measures adopted by women and men in response to climate change. It addresses the institutional commitment to measure the differential impact of climate change and to obtain data and indicators with sex-disaggregated information in this area.
For the preparation of this research, an initial phase of documentary review was carried out, followed by fieldwork based on a survey of the Spanish population, representing large age groups and regions, directed at more than 1,200 individuals.
This study generated knowledge and proposals for action and recommendations to support policies for the prevention, control, and attention to situations of risk from climate-related disasters with a gender perspective.
